Interdiction
Is your loved one not competent to make decisions regarding their person and/or property? If so, then an interdiction proceeding may be necessary. The interdiction proceeding is a court process by which your loved one is declared legally incompetent with regard to their person and/or property by a court of law, and then a curator is appointed to manage the affairs of the incompetent person.
